Converging on Convergence

Ever since the launch of Warmachine MK3 some of my friends here have been muttering about running a Journeyman League. Well, June turned to July, then August and nothing happened. But with the summer over, September seemed a natural time to reboot some Warmachine love!

I am just back from my first Smogcon, and despite the fact I’m totally knackered, I am super enthused. So how did it go?

Spooky Robots

OK, this blog post will be posted after Halloween, but Halloween was close enough for our club for hold a Halloween themed Warmachine tournament on the 30th October. This came at the end of six weeks of Journeyman League, so everyone was keen to crack out of the big guns after the limitations of the league.

Series 7,30 months later…

Stryker!!! (and other warcasters)

Hello 2016! It’s been a while since I’ve written anything, but I have been productive and not practicing for Smogcon in February. I’m somewhat committed to bringing Cygnar (against my better judgement) and a friend of mine is determined to make me play in the Iron Gauntlet tournament, which seems like a very bad idea.

Getting a full 4′ x 4′ board together for Infinity is one of bigger challenges of playing this game. Everyone is happy to get their own armies built and painted, but most wargamers tend to consider terrain as a distant second place thing.

N3 Beginnings

Well, we have finally popped our collective Infinity cherry. Over the last few weeks I have now played five Infinity games using my very small Nomad list (at 120 and 150 points), verus Morats and Japanese Sectorial.

More Adventures in Airbrushing

Since buying my airbrush, it probably has not been used as much as it should be.
