Stryker!!! (and other warcasters)

Hello 2016! It’s been a while since I’ve written anything, but I have been productive and not practicing for Smogcon in February. I’m somewhat committed to bringing Cygnar (against my better judgement) and a friend of mine is determined to make me play in the Iron Gauntlet tournament, which seems like a very bad idea.

More Adventures in Airbrushing

Since buying my airbrush, it probably has not been used as much as it should be. There have been many reasons for this, but since moving house, and investing in some dedicated airbrush paints, I have rediscovered my enthusiasm for this tool. So with some more experience, I thought I would share some of the things I have learned…

Journeyman Leagues, Nomads and Stuff

Its been strangely quiet on here since Smogcon. This hasn’t been because of any burnout on my part, but quite the opposite, I have been super busy. Super busy at home, super busy at work, and sort of busy with hobby stuff.

Smogcon 2015

I am just back from my first Smogcon, and despite the fact I’m totally knackered, I am super enthused. So how did it go?

Altered States

Smogcon is almost upon us and despite my best efforts, my plans to take Cygnar are faltering. My original plan had been to take Siege, Sturgis and Lord Commander Stryker, however this requires some extra models, including a five Storm Lances.

While You Were Away…

After a bit of a break, I have finally got back to writing something. Hurrah! As surprising as it may sound, I have actually been busy painting and playing over the festive period. Unfortunately, I’ve also been busy with other ‘life’ stuff, so the blog has been on hold.

Army in Motion

About 18 months ago I picked up one of the standard Battlefoam Warmachine bags and bar some minor bug points, its been absolutely great. It is more than big enough to transport either my entire Retribution or my entire Cygnar collection. This said, I don’t normally need that many models.

Big Blue

I might have said it before, but big robots are the reason I got into Warmachine, and obviously for steam power fighting robots, size matters. And Cygnar arguably have to best giant robot in the game. Well, it would be rude not too.

If You Go Down to the Woods Today…

Most of 2014 has been dedicated to my Cygnar. However it is Autumn now, and my other Warmachine army needs some love. That’s right folk, I’ve been playing with elf army lists again and methinks it is time for the Retribution of Scyrah to return!
